Itinerary
Day 1 : Welcome To Tromsø
Location: Tromsø
Accommodation Name: Quality Saga
Arrival to Tromsø, the Arctic Capital! Pick up your rental car from Tromsø Airport and drive to your centrally located hotel. Tromsø is the city of adventurers looking for unforgettable experiences. Since the middle of the 19th century, Tromsø has been an arctic hunting
center and a starting point for expeditions. You are going to visit the land of polar nights. Located at 69 degrees north - Tromsø is 320 km above the Arctic Circle. The city is surrounded by spectacular mountains and crystal blue water. Finally, the city clusters some of the highest levels of Northern Lights activity on earth, making it the perfect destination to observe this phenomenon.
Day 2 : Optional Activities In Tromsø
Location: Tromsø
Accommodation Name: Quality Saga
Breakfast in the hotel.
You will have an entire day to explore the city on your own or choose one of the optional activities that we offer. (Option list can be found further below.) You will have the chance to book a snowmobile activity, husky & reindeer safari or Northern Lights cruise. Tromsø, located about 2000 km from the North Pole, is a center of research, education and commerce in the High North. Tromsø also has a cultural scene, and a renowned cuisine combining fish, game and international spices. The locals are known to be welcoming and largely English speaking. The people of Tromsø love their city, and they can't wait to tell you why!
Day 3 : Crossing Lyngen Fjord & Alta
Location: Alta
Accommodation Name: Thon Alta
Breakfast in the hotel.
Depart from Tromsø: you pass through the region of the spectacular Lyngen Alps, mountains ending abruptly in the Arctic Ocean creating a dramatic and splendid landscape. These peaks remain covered in eternal snow also during the summer adding yet another dose of magic to the picture. In winter, the Lyngen Alps are popular with off-piste skiers who hike to the top and take advantage of the pristine snow by sliding through breathtaking landscape. Ferry crossing from Breivikeidet to Svensby, then another ferry from
Lyngeseidet to Olderdalen. From the village of Olderdalen, drive along the Lyngenfjord. Arrival to Alta in the afternoon, where you should not miss the Museum of Rock Carvings, one of the most important sites in the world with outstanding universal value. In Alta the changing landscape of prehistoric times is evident, and the position of the carvings also provides a key to understanding the chronology of rock art in the circumpolar region.
Day 4 : Visit To Igloo Ice Hotel
Location: Honningsvåg, Alta
Accommodation Name: Scandic Bryggen
Breakfast in the hotel.
Start the day with a visit to Alta's Ice Hotel, Sorrisniva. Entrance to the hotel in included and you can discover this wonderful structure made of snow and ice. This hotel is rebuilt every year as soon as the weather permits. The ice is sculpted to give shape to furniture: bed, armchair, restaurant tables, bar, murals etc. The result is breathtaking and gives a little touch of magic to the place. You can end your visit with a very refreshing drink at the Ice Bar, before heading north. You cross Finnmark and drive along Porsanger Fjord to reach
Honningsvåg, at the very top of Norway.
Day 5 : North Cape Under The Snow
Location: Honningsvåg
Accommodation Name: Scandic Bryggen
Breakfast in the hotel.
Meet at 11 a.m. at Skarsvåg junction, about ten kilometers from the North Cape. Due to the heavy snow cover, it is necessary to get there by convoy, escorted by a snowplow. Here you are at the northernmost point in mainland Europe - the North Cape. Here you will find a restaurant, a small museum and a chapel here. In summer, this is where the midnight sun can be seen shining above the horizon. In winter, you can admire the immensity in front of you. Return by convoy at 1 p.m. to Honningsvåg for a moment of relaxation.
Day 6 : Cruise To Tromsø
Location: Hammerfest
Accommodation Name: Quality Saga
Breakfast in the hotel.
Drive to Hammerfest in the morning, crossing magical landscapes covered with snow. You may also see herds of reindeer along the way. The Hurtigruten boat, a coastal express that runs between Bergen and Kirkenes every day of the year, takes you back to your starting point. You take advantage of the trip to admire the coasts and see the fjords from a new perspective - from the open sea this time. Be sure to step out on the deck after dark to try to catch the Northern Lights. If weather allows, Aurora is clearly visible from the sea, because there is no light pollution. The reflection of the lights on the water is one-of-a-kind view!
Arrival to Tromsø at night.

How does Today Voyages work?
We are an Online Travel Agency, specialized in Group Vacations and Private Vacations. We have been in business for over 30 years through our sister company Go West Tours and, throughout the years, have developed an extensive network of trusted professionals around the world and a structured methodology to screen our suppliers. Today Voyages offers a selection of tours that are designed, managed and operated by our network of trusted Tour Operators and DMCs. Our database is connected with our partners so that when you make a booking with us this will immediately be received and processed by the Tour Operator.
-
Where should I buy the flights to reach my destination?
Today Voyages does not sell flights directly. None of our tours come with flights included. Why? Because we prefer to give full flexibility to our valued customers to select the airlines and the booking platform they prefer. As soon as your flight is booked and confirmed, we invite you to update your flight plan within your Today Voyages booking confirmation page by entering your flight number, departure and arrival times, as well as your Passport information (if needed). None of these fields are mandatory but we highly encourage you to provide as much information as possible. This will allow us to provide you with the excellent service you are looking for.
-
What is an additional excursion or tour optional?
Certain tours might show a selection of additional excursions/optional activities that you may want to add to our standard itinerary. These services are priced separately and can be added to the cart before completing the booking. We believe these optional services to contribute to making your vacation unforgettable; however, you are in no way obliged to purchase them. All our tours are awesome with our without optional services!
-
What is the difference between Group Vacations and Private Vacations?
If you purchase one of our Group vacation packages, you will be escorted by a professional tour guide and will be traveling with other like-minded travelers you may not know. The group size depends on the tour you select. If you purchase one of our Private vacation packages, you will be traveling only within your group of friends. You may or may not be escorted by a professional tour guide; this depends on the type of private tour you are interested in.
-
When and how will I receive the travel documents (vouchers)?
If you book one of our Group or Private tours, you will receive your travel documents via email approximately 20 days prior to travel date. If you reserve one of our Vacation Rentals, you will hear back from the property manager via email a few days prior to checking-in. We recommend checking your emails on a regular basis as this is our most reliable method of communication. If you have questions or need additional support, you can always chat with us or email us directly.
-
What happens if a Group tour does not get confirmed?
It is very simple... you will be offered an alternative departure date or be refunded the full amount you pre-paid. No questions asked!
-
What happens after I book?
The majority of our tours are confirmed at the time of booking. This means that, after submitting the payment online, you will receive an order confirmation email; make sure to save this email and to note down your confirmation number for any future communication with us. Some tours may be sold on a 'on request' basis. This means that for these tours we reserve the right to check the availability of your spot(s) with the Tour Operator before confirming the tour to you. As soon as you submit the payment online for a 'on request' tour you will receive an email notification that confirms your order request. Within 72 hours, you will receive either a confirmation email or a denial email. Do not worry... we will do everything we can to confirm your tour!
