A complete vision of the best wine regions of Galicia and northern Portugal. The tour covers the following appellations of origin, Rías Baixas (Albariño) Ribeiro, Ribeira Sacra and Valdeorras in Galicia, Vinho Verde, Porto and Douro in Portugal. As part of the tour, we will visit the following places: Santiago de Compostela, Cambados, Baiona, La Guardia, Tuy, Porto, Peso da Regua, Pinhão, Vila Real, Valenca, Orense and Monforte de Lemos. We will also taste the local dishes in each of the regions, sleep in nice Paradores and great hotels.

Day 1 : Rías Baixas

Location: Santiago de Compostela

Accommodation: Hotel, Parador

Meals Included: Lunch

We will depart from Santiago, to go to Cambados, known as the capital of Albariño, where we will visit a couple of special wineries, ride a boat to know about the mussel farming and then going to eat a typical lunch. In the evening you will have free time in Cambados

Day 2 : Cambados To Tuy.

Location: Cambados

Accommodation: Parador

Today we'll move south by the coast visiting Bayona, and will be driving to the border with Portugal and visit a winery in the subzone of Rias Baixas called Condado, we will also visit the Mount Santa Tecla with its prehistoric Celtic settlements and enjoy the fantastic views of both the coast of Spain and Portugal, we will sleep in the Parador of Bayona and you'll have free time to explore this cosy town.

Day 3 : Baiona To Porto

Location: Baiona

Accommodation: Hotel

Today we'll be heading off to Portugal, where we'll visit the city of Porto and its famous wine cellars and monuments and eat lunch in the fisherman's neighbourhood to then continue or journey towards the Douro valley to catch a boat in Peso da Regua that will take us upriver to Pinhao on a very scenic ride to then return by train and enjoy the views from it.

Day 4 : Peso Da Régua - Pinhao

Location: Peso da Régua

Accommodation: Hotel, Parador

Today we will enjoy the stunning views of the Douro Valley visiting a couple of Quintas (wineries) and tasting their wines as we head back we'll stop at the Mateus Palace to then continue to Valença where well have dinner and then cross the border to Tuy and sleep at the Parador.

Day 5 : Tui To Monforte De Lemos

Location: Tui

Accommodation: Hotel, Parador

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Back in Spain today we'll visit the Ribeiro appellation of origin and one of its most important bodegas to then continue to Orense and from there to the Ribeira Sacra with its viewpoints and heroic wines to the sleep in yet another parador

Day 6 : Monforte De Lemos- Santiago

Location: Monforte de Lemos

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

It is our last day and we'll be heading East to visit the Valdeorras region but not forgetting the incredible open-air Roman gold mine, world heritage site of Las Medulas. Today we will visit a winery and eat lunch with the winemaker accompanied by his fantastic wines to put a great end to our fantastic journey visiting the great wine regions of northwest Spain and Portugal.
In the afternoon we'll drive back to Santiago de Compostela
