Continuing as a group, we'll proceed to Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen, home to the magnificent Big Buddha, grab lunch out a local eatery and continue to explore the colourful streets of this vibrant bustling city.

This evening, we embark on our first encounter with rural Thailand as we board the overnight train to Surat Thani

After a fun time on the overnight train to Surat Thani, we transfer to Don Sak pier and board a ferry to the stunning beach island of Koh Samui, famous for its tropical fish filled coral reefs and marine life – perfect for snorkelling & scuba diving.

The towering rock formations which rise from the relaxed warm waters are perfect for hiking, rock climbing, and bouldering.

Relax on the warm beach before supporting the local community by taking a ‘free’ yoga class which supports a movement and health program to offer yoga to those who cannot afford it. A small donation here goes a long way!

We let loose in Koh Samui this evening with your U.Guide who will help you ferret out the best cheap authentic Thai meal on the island!

This day offers a delightful blend of activity and relaxation, with "active" reflecting our exploration of Koh Samui's stunning island and coral reefs, and "recovery" signifying the island's tranquil, nature-centric lifestyle, fostering a stress-free day filled with sublime experiences.

In the morning, you'll be picked up to embark on a boat tour to Angthong National Marine Park.

Our journey commences with a kayaking adventure along the southern coast of Koh Mae Island, where towering rocks form the iconic backdrop of the Gulf of Thailand.

While on board, a delectable buffet lunch awaits, which we'll savour as we cruise towards Koh Mae Koh.

Upon reaching Koh Mae Koh, we'll disembark to discover the breathtaking "Green Lagoon" or Emerald Lake, a hidden gem nestled within the heart of the island.

This morning, you'll embark on a ferry journey deeper into the Gulf, arriving at the enchanting Koh Pha Ngan.

As Thailand's fifth-largest island, Koh Phangan boasts untamed beauty that extends far beyond its famous full moon parties. Today you can swim, snorkel, kayak, trek, do yoga or meditation, or spend the day sailing, or just chill on the beach!

Long stretches of pristine white-sand beaches are framed by lush tropical jungles and crystal-clear waters.

For the next two nights, your tranquil haven will be the Sarana beachside bungalows on Koh Phangan, where you'll seamlessly slip into the island's laid-back rhythm.

We start relaxed and slow, moving overland down the coast after breakfast, before taking a ferry into the Phi Phi Island archipelago – perhaps the most iconic insta-worthy and recognised coastland in Thailand.

It’s an island paradise that’s renowned for pristine beaches, towering rock formations, and vivid turquoise waters abundant with colourful marine life.

In Phi Phi, even the most tiniest of islands offer a wide array of activities. Enjoy luxurious beach parties that transition seamlessly from day to night to morning on the white sandy shores.

Sip drinks and share moments with fellow travellers in this stunning island paradise!

What a great day lays ahead… This morning, board a private longtail boat for a short journey to Phi Phi Lee island, an uninhabited gem adorned with lush greenery atop towering cliffs, secluded beaches, and vibrant coral seas.

Explore Losama Bay, the famed Maya Bay (known from "The Beach" movie), Pileh Lagoon, Viking Cave, and Monkey Bay.

Snorkelling gear is available onboard, allowing you to dive into the fringing reefs teeming with tropical marine life. In the afternoon, unwind on Koh Phi Phi, preparing for sunset cocktails in this stunning paradise.

We are on the move today to the cultural centre of Thailand - Chiang Mai. Travelling by bus, ferry and airplane, we arrive late afternoon, but in time for a little local discovery time. A well deserved beer may be needed after this epic day of adventuring!

Continuing with the unique accommodation you have already experienced, you’ll be staying in a traditional guesthouse in the old city.

Drop your bags and head into town to discover the local nightlife and find yourself a northern Thai meal, cooked street side!

It’s time to have some adventure! We explore the rural countryside and hill tribe area of Mae Taeng first by bike, and then by foot.

From trails to trekking we’ll arrive at Huay Sathan Waterfall via rolling hills and dense green forests. It’s a fun way to get off the beaten track and go exploring and simply enjoy just being in nature.

Dip in the cool water pools of Huay Sathan Waterfall, before making our way back to the Mae Taeng River and its 14 simply stunning gorges for a super fun day of rafting!

We head back to Chaing Mai for celebratory beer and meal out!

Tourism needs to change, and the change starts here. Elephants should not be ridden or bathed by humans, and especially not done for the sake of a ‘travel photo’. U. believes strongly that we should lead by changing the way we (don’t) interact with these beautiful creatures.

Today we venture to a carefully selected and vetted Elephant sanctuary where the elephants have been saved from exploitation and hard manual labour where U. supports the efforts of the incredible people who spend countless hours and energy to protect these elephants.

There is plenty of opportunity to see the elephants bathe and play, graze and interact with each other as we are treated too a locally prepared Thai vegetarian lunch. Our guide will explain the history and importance of elephants to the Thai cultural, economic and social landscape and what the future could look like with your help once you leave Thailand.

We take the day another step further, with an interactive hands-on afternoon learning the traditional method of weaving clothing and bags at the Karen Cultural Centre.

Back in Chiang Mai this evening, we've arranged a unique Thai massage experience for you. The skilled masseuses, who are certified instructors, also happen to be former inmates.

By partnering with local charities to retrain and employ these individuals, we aim to reduce women's conviction rates in Chiang Mai and address the underlying societal issues. This is a step towards realising our dream of Travel helping to create a better community.
