Location: Ubud

Accommodation Name: Radha Phala Resort

On arriving at Bali’s Denpasar airport, begin your journey with a transfer by car to the artistic village of Ubud. Surrounded by rainforest and rice paddies in the island’s central foothills. Ubud is known as a centre of traditional Indonesian dance, craft, and sacred religious sites. More than three million travellers visit Ubud every year as its interior location offers an ideal base to explore all that Bali has to offer. After checking into your hotel, you are free to explore the village at your leisure. Take in your new surroundings with a stroll along the main boulevard, try some local cuisine, or just relax by the pool. Overnight stay in Ubud.

Day 3 : Ubud

Location: Ubud

Accommodation Name: Radha Phala Resort

Meals Included: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with an included trip outside the town centre to see Bali’s most famous rice paddy in Tegalalang, followed by a stop at Kintamani. This picturesque town situated in a mountainous region is known for its panoramic views over verdant valleys, a lake and an active volcano. Unlike the typical heat and humidity Bali is known for, Kintamani is often noted for its fresh, cool air. After coming back down into central Bali, visit Tirta Empul, a Hindu water temple with natural mineral springs. The Balinese believe that the waters have purifying properties and regularly come to bathe and pray to Vishnu, the god to whom the temple is dedicated. On the drive back to the hotel in Ubud, make one final stop at the stunning, 15-metre tall Tegenungan Waterfall. Overnight stay in Ubud.

Day 4 : Ubud

Location: Ubud

Accommodation Name: Radha Phala Resort

Meals Included: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. On this free day, take the morning to relax in your room or wander Ubud to your heart’s content. If you aren’t sure how to spend this day, we recommend an optional excursion to Besakih & Penglipuran*, a village famous for its continued preservation of traditional Balinese architecture and social structures. Overnight stay in Ubud. *Optional excursion to Besakih: Visit the oldest temple in Bali before heading to Penglipuran, a village located in the Bangli Regency. This indigenous village offers a unique opportunity to see firsthand how people have lived for centuries, while also appreciating natural beauty among the rice paddies and the Goa Lawah Cave that you’ll see along the way. Note that lunch is included in the price of this optional activity.

Day 5 : Ubud - Benoa

Location: Benoa

Accommodation Name: Sadara Boutique Beach Resort

Meals Included: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your included excursion with a visit to Mengwi and the Taman Ayun Temple, built in the early 17th century for a local prince. This UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its lovely gardens with exceptional water features, which you will have the chance to explore independently. Then, meet the wild monkeys of Alas Kedaton known locally as the holy monkey forest. Surrounded by the fragrant nutmeg trees, explore this stunning habitat that is home to “Flying Fox” fruit bats and several varieties of large primate. End the day with another breathtaking landscape as the sun sets over the Tanah Lot Temple, built on a cliff overlooking the sea. Appreciate the sound of the crashing waves in this meditative setting before a short drive to the hotel in Benoa. Check-in and relax until the next day’s adventure. Overnight stay in Benoa.

Day 6 : Benoa

Location: Bukit Peninsula

Accommodation Name: Sadara Boutique Beach Resort

Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner

Breakfast at the hotel. Take the morning to discover your new surroundings. Feel free to relax, exercise, or shop in town. This arid, rocky landscape offers something completely different from the wet, forested interior of the island. Discover the Uluwatu Temple, one of Bali’s most spiritually significant sites. Enjoy the sunset with sweeping views over the temple, as locals perform the traditional Kecak Dance. This daily ritual is performed at sunset every day at Uluwatu and other Balinese temples, and is believed to cause the dancers to enter a trance-like state. On the way back to the hotel after sunset, stop for an included fresh and delicious dinner in Jimbaran. Please note that the Uluwatu Temple is known for its abundant population of wild Macaque monkeys. Please be careful with all belongings including hats, cameras, and phones as they are known to take items from visiting tourists.

Observe marine wildlife and luxuriate in the warm, clear, tropical waters on this stunning islet off the coast of southern Bali. This full-day activity includes lunch.

Day 8 : Benoa

Location: Benoa, Bali

Accommodation Name: Sadara Boutique Beach Resort

Meals Included: Breakfast

Breakfast at the hotel. On your final full day in Bali, take advantage of another free day to take in any last-minute sightseeing. South America with Exoticca

04-Jun-2023

Most of the time we were travelling as a couple although we kept bumping into others in a simialr situation. Wherever we went there was someone there to welcome us and take us to our hotel, tell us about arrangements for the next few days and to generally look after us. Guides always turned up as expected and were all of a very high standard. We never felt concerned about what was due to happen the next day - it always did! Tours were always of interest. Accommodation which was charm class was perfectly acceptable and if not in the centre of town, taxis were always easy to use and safe whether a white pick up van in the Galapagos or a tuk tuk in Peru. I had a slight accident while there and I have to say that Exoticca guides etc could not have been more helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend Exoticca to anyone thinking of using them. We had an amazing experience in Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos.

Exoticca was a great experience. Very well planned itinerary and our tour driver Leo was excellent. We were lucky to get good weather for the most parts and were given good guidance about local attractions. The hotels were well located and of a good quality. Overall a very pleasant experience. We will travel with Exoticca again.

I very much enjoyed my trip to Portugal with Exoticca. I love that you're able to book the flight at the same time as the vacation booking because you won't get stuck with a bunch of layovers like other tour companies spring on you at the last minute. I felt like the trip was very organized and well-planned. I also like that I was back in my hotel room everyday prior to 6:00 p.m. so I had the whole night to myself to do whatever I wanted rather than being stuck on a bus for hours. I will definitely be booking with Exoticca again.

29-Mar-2024

We had a great time and great experience on our recent trip to South Africa through Exoticca. Very good value with the pricing and very organized and good communication from them. It was a busy trip with so much to see and someday I would like to go back to Capetown and spend a month or so. The safari in Kruger National Park was awesome and we saw every animal there was including the Big 5. And because of traveling to and from Kruger and the safari, we made some lifelong friends. Looking forward to traveling through Exoticca again as I have had my eye on other trips they offer.

Saw most of what was on the itinerary… Saw most of what was on the itinerary but not the best guide (our Exoticca guide in Ecuador was great but ones since then less so). More free time would have been good ( we didn't even get the free time listed on the itinerary) especially at lunchtimes. Beautiful scenery ranging from the sand dunes to the snow capped mountains. The tour of 'Essence of Patagonia & Cultural Capitals - Argentina & Chile' was a great experience and good value for the money. It gave us plenty of free time at most locations to explore on our own. The full day guided tours in Patagonia on both Argentina and Chile sides were great.
